Animals reservation in Saint Auban, Alpes-Maritimes
This project has for objective to build an animal reservation north of the department of the Alpes-Maritimes on 350 hectares of land. Animals such as european bisons, reindeers, elks and Prévalsky horses will be able to live at liberty and the public can admire them from open carriages, which will be provided to transport them around the park. The Maison de la Forêt (the forest house), an 80 meters long bird shaped construction, is the public's reception center. Supported on piles it spans a river by means of its 25 meter-long arches.

Footbridges provide easy access. The north side of the building, with few openings, contrasts sharply with the south, where numerous large openings give out to the surrounding awe-inspiring landscape. About 30 horses will be sheltered by the stables, which will also serve as stockage for the carriages. These two constructions will be built using locally grown wood, in order to develop and revive the economy of the highlands.
